Compliance Requirements & Certification
If you're considering a career at NurseGEO, but aren't quite sure how to get started - we're here to help. Below we have what we require to get you onboarded to begin working with our facilities. We do offer license reimbursement program to help pay for any expiring licenses/certifications. Please contact us for more info.
Our Requirements Include:
- Professional Liability Insurance
We do require all staff to have be insured with professional liability insurance. Most insurance has a cost of $100 – $150 one time payment for the entire year to keep it current. We want all of our staff To have full protection of their license in case a dispute arises. We can help direct you to reputable companies to request a quote if needed.
- Work Experience
Most facilities require at least a year of experience in your profession (some exceptions apply) before you can work. Some hospitals may require 2+ years of experience in a specialty that applies to the position. Contact us for more info to find assignments that best fit your experience.
- Vaccination Records & Physical Exam
You will show record of a physical and provide proof of a current TB test completed within the past year. A record of specific immunizations will also be required before start of an assignment.
- Licensing & Certifications
We keep these on file for you, but it’s best if you keep all documents for your records as well. The licensing process varies from state to state, and we may be able to help you expedite the process. Current CPR Card (must be American Heart)
- Drug Screen & Background Check
You’ll also need to complete a drug test and a background check before your first assignment, and your credentialing specialist will help you book any necessary appointments!
- Additional Documentation
The items listed above are the most commonly required, but there may be other documents requested by specific healthcare facilities. Your credentialing specialist will alert you to any applicable deadlines and make sure you meet them.
